PDK1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total PDK1 protein.
Source / Purification
Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (KLH-coupled) corresponding to residues surrounding the carboxy terminus of human PDK1. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Western blot analysis of extracts from SW-13, NIH/3T3, Jurkat and PC12 cells, using PDK1 Antibody.
Background
Phosphoinositide-dependent protein kinase 1 (PDK1) plays a central role in many signal transduction pathways (1,2), activating Akt and the PKC isoenzymes p70 S6 kinase and RSK (3). Through its effects on these kinases, PDK1 is involved in the regulation of a wide variety of processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis.
