His-Tag (27E8) Mouse mAb (Sepharose Bead Conjugate) #4079

Applications Reactivity Sensitivity Isotype
IP All Transfected Only Mouse IgG1

Applications Key:  IP=Immunoprecipitation
Reactivity Key: All=All species expected
Species cross-reactivity is determined by western blot.

Protocols

Specificity / Sensitivity

His-Tag (27E8) Mouse mAb detects recombinant proteins containing the 6xHis epitope tag. The antibody recognizes the 6xHis-tag fused to either the amino or carboxy terminus of targeted proteins in transfected cells.

Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a 6xHis synthetic peptide.

IP

IP

Immunoprecipitation of extracts from COS cells transfected with a construct overexpressing Tyro3-His using His-Tag (27E8) Mouse mAb (Sepharose bead conjugate) (lane 1). Mouse IgG Isotype Control (Sepharose bead conjugate) #3420 (lane 2) was used as a negative control. The western blot was probed using His-Tag Antibody #2365.

Description

This Cell Signaling Technology (CST) antibody is immobilized via covalent binding of primary amino groups to N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS)-activated sepharose beads. His-Tag (27E8) Mouse mAb (Sepharose Bead Conjugate) is useful for immunoprecipitation assays.

Background

Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining techniques. Because of their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein's biochemical properties.
