Immunoprecipitation of extracts from NIH/3T3 cells treated with PDGF using Rabbit (DA1E) mAb IgG XP® Isotype Control (Biotinylated) (lane 1) and Phospho-Akt (Ser473) (193H12) Rabbit mAb (Biotinylated) #3637 (lane 2). Biotinylated antibodies were pulled down using Streptavidin (Bead Conjugate) #3419. Western blot analysis was performed using Phospho-Akt (Ser473) (587F11) Mouse mAb #4051.

Description

Rabbit (DA1E) mAb IgG XP® Isotype Control (Biotinylated) antibody was conjugated to biotin under optimal condtions and tested in-house for direct flow cytometry and western blot.

Background

Isotype control antibodies are used to estimate the nonspecific binding of target primary antibodies due to Fc receptor binding or other protein-protein interactions. An isotype control antibody should have the same immunoglobulin type and be used at the same concentration as the test antibody.
