Species cross-reactivity is determined by Western blot.

Protocols

Specificity / Sensitivity

hnRNPLL Antibody detects endogenous levels of total hnRNPLL protein.

Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the amino terminus of human hnRNPLL protein. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Western Blotting

Western Blotting

Western blot analysis of extracts from Hep G2 and HeLa cells using hnRNPLL Antibody.

Background

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein L-like (hnRNPLL) is a nuclear RNA-binding protein that shares 69% amino acid homology with hnRNPL, a component of hnRNP complex which regulates mRNA formation, packaging, and processing (1). hnRNPLL is induced in activated T-cells and functions as a critical regulator of alternative splicing of CD45, a tyrosine phosphatase crucial for T-cell development and activation (2). hnRNPLL also regulates the splicing of CD44 and STAT5A (2). Four isoforms of hnRNPLL, generated by alternative splicing, are widely expressed in human tissues (3).
