Cell Signaling Technology (CST) is committed to providing a workplace for its employees that is a safe, inclusive and stimulating working environment and understands the importance of diversity, human dignity and meaningful work. CST own hiring practices follow the highest standards and are in full compliance with the laws governing child labor, slavery or human trafficking. We understand that it is equally as important to establish company policies that incorporate such safeguards and values for the employees and companies that serve as CST suppliers. As part of our ongoing corporate social responsibility mission, we are in the process of establishing procedures to verify and audit our product supply chain to ensure that our suppliers are free from the use of child labor, slavery and human trafficking.
The California Supply Chains Act requires CST to disclose its current practices to combat slavery and human trafficking in five specific areas. In this regard, CST does not currently engage in verification or audit activities to identify, assess or manage the risks of human trafficking in its product supply chain. Likewise, CST does not currently require its direct suppliers to certify that they comply with the labor laws of the countries in which we do business. While we are still beginning, CST has not developed any internal accountability standards for suppliers regarding slavery and trafficking or training for CST employees or contractors responsible for dealing with those suppliers. We plan to update this site as we work to continue in our role of fostering responsible corporate citizenship.
