Research Associate - Immunohistochemistry

We are fully committed to developing new research tools to help define the mechanisms underlying cell function and disease, thereby broadly accelerating progress in biomedical research and medicine.

We are seeking a talented, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Research Associate for a position within our Immunohistochemistry Group. This Research Associate will contribute to the validation and characterization of antibodies in immunohistochemical assays and should possess strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.


  • Analyze antibody performance in IHC
  • Develop and optimize staining protocols for new antibody targets
  • Communicate results to project scientists
  • Identify, analyze and troubleshoot technical issues related to assay development and performance in support of internal and external customers
  • Complete technical tasks on aggressive timelines, adapt readily to changing priorities and manage a fast-paced, complex and dynamic pipeline
  • Stay current on staining technology and trends in the field


  • BA, BS, or MS degree in a biological science
  • 1+ years' experience in a laboratory environment

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with immunohistochemistry and tissue sectioning
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • High level of dependability, initiative and motivation
