Our Phospho-Akt (Ser473) (D9E) XP® Rabbit mAb #4060 and Phospho-Akt (Ser473) (D9W9U) Mouse mAb #12694 detect over-expressed PKC alpha and beta. Our Phospho-Akt (Ser473) (D9E) XP® Rabbit mAb #4060 also detects endogenous levels of PKC in Jurkat + CalA extract, but not in other endogenous models tested. Our Phospho-Akt (Ser473) (587F11) Mouse mAb #4051 detects over-expressed PKC alpha and beta but does not detect endogenous PKC in the models tested. Our Phospho-Akt (Ser473) (193H12) Rabbit mAb #4058 does not detect over-expressed or endogenous PKC alpha and beta.
Based on sequence homology, we predict that our α-Tubulin Antibody #2144 and α-Tubulin (11H10) Rabbit mAb #2125 will detect the alpha 1a, alpha 1b, alpha 1c, alpha 2, alpha 3c, alpha 3d, alpha 3e, alpha 4a, and alpha 4b subtypes.

PD is characterized by functional loss in dopaminergic neurons, believed to be caused by disruption of proteins involved in cell quality control pathways.
For imaging purposes, we recommend using Cleaved Caspase-3 (Asp175) (5A1E) Rabbit mAb #9664 when working with rodent tissue. We have noted non-specific labeling in specific sub-types of healthy cells in fixed-frozen mouse tissues (e.g. pancreatic alpha-cells) and nuclear background in rat samples with Cleaved Caspase-3 (Asp175) Antibody #9661 and Cleaved Caspase-3 (Asp175) (D3E9) Rabbit mAb #9579.
We observe multiple bands at or around 33-35 kDa in cells with high STING protein expression, such as THP-1 and HDLM-2. Regrettably, we are not certain about what the lower molecular weight band represents in the THP-1 extract. However, customers may be interested in the following possibilities:1) Please see Wang, P. et al. (2018) Nucleic Acids Res. 46, 4054-4071 (PMID: 29547894; https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29547894/). The two bands in THP-1 extract may represent the alpha and beta isoforms of STING.2) Please see Rodríguez-García, E. et al. (2018) Immunohorizons 2, 363-376 (PMID: 31026807; https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31026807/). STING isoforms 2 and 3 do not include #13647’s epitope. However, STING isoform 1 may be detected by #13647.3) Given that the lower band is also observed in 293T cells transfected with a construct expressing human STING protein (see image on the product webpage; https://www.cellsignal.com//products/primary-antibodies/sting-d2p…
Cancer cells need a lot of energy to grow fast—to do so, they show abnormal metabolic pathways.
Molecular oxygen is an essential element for metazoan life. Among its many roles, it functions as the final electron acceptor (oxidizing agent) during oxidative phosphorylation, a metabolic chain-reaction that generates energy in the form of ATP. HIF-1 alpha

There are a number of markers that can be used to distinguish the many cell types of the central and peripheral nervous system during development, adult neurogenesis, and the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders.
This guide includes some of the most common markers used to detect neuronal and glial cells, which include oligodendrocytes, astrocytes, and microglia.
