We are fully committed to developing new research tools to help define the mechanisms underlying cell function and disease, thereby broadly accelerating progress in biomedical research and medicine.

We are seeking a highly motivated Copy Editor to join our global marketing communications team. The ideal candidate will support the product release process by editing product datasheets for scientific accuracy, consistency and clarity. In addition, they will work as part of the scientific writing team to maintain high quality, and consistent marketing collateral copy (e.g., brochures and emails). The Copy Editor will report to the Manager, Scientific Writing/Editing and will be a core member of the Scientific Writing team.


  • Work as a member of project teams to conceptualize, review and edit datasheets for an audience of biomedical research scientists
  • Edit marketing collateral (e.g., brochures and emails) to ensure they are free of typographical errors
  • Check text to ensure it is well written and logically structured
  • Correct grammar and spelling
  • Proofread and fact-check copy for brand consistency, clarity and accuracy
  • Ensure text is aligned with the publisher's "house style"
  • Ensure compliance with trademark and copyright guidelines and discuss them with the developer/writer, when necessary
  • Ensure accuracy of illustrations and captions


  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism or other related field. Knowledge of biomedical science is desired, but not required
  • 5+ years experience copy editing, including experience with instructional editing
  • Working knowledge of copyright and trademark regulations
  • Proficiency in written English (e.g., spelling and grammar)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks, with limited supervision, in a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires meeting time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a creative team
  • AMA guideline experience is preferred
