Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro107 of human CDKN3 protein.

Background

CDKN3 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitor 3)/KAP (Kinase-Associated Phosphatase) is a dual specificity phosphatase that regulates cell cycle progression through dephosphorylation and inhibition of cyclin-dependent kinases (1). CDKN3 promotes cancer cell proliferation and invasion (2-4), as well as resistance to cisplatin (5,6). Overexpression of CDKN3 is associated with tumor progression and poor prognosis in several human cancers (5-9).

Species Reactivity

Species reactivity is determined by testing in at least one approved application (e.g., western blot).

Western Blot Buffer

IMPORTANT: For western blots, incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween® 20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.
