Product Information

Product Usage Information

This product is the carrier free version of product #36135. All data were generated using the same antibody clone in the standard formulation which contains BSA and glycerol.

This formulation is ideal for use with technologies requiring specialized or custom antibody labeling, including fluorophores, metals, lanthanides, and oligonucleotides. It is not recommended for ChIP, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&Tag assays. If you require a carrier free formulation for chromatin profiling, please contact us. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Formulation

Supplied in 1X PBS, BSA and Azide Free.

For standard formulation of this product see product #36135

Storage

Store at -20°C. This product will freeze at -20°C so it is recommended to aliquot into single-use vials to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. A slight precipitate may be present and can be dissolved by gently vortexing. This will not interfere with antibody performance.

Specificity / Sensitivity

POU2F3 (E5N2D) XP® Rabbit mAb (BSA and Azide Free) recognizes endogenous levels of total POU2F3 protein.

Species Reactivity:

Human

Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Leu160 of human POU2F3 protein.

Background

POU2F3 (also known as OCT-11 and SKN-1) belongs to the OCT family of octamer motif-binding transcription factors, members of which play varied, diverse roles in animal development. POU2F3 is a lineage-defining transcription factor, responsible for driving differentiation of specialized chemosensory cells in the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts (1-3). Tuft cells are a subtype of chemosensory cell, defined by POU2F3 expression, and which are hypothesized to be the origin of a distinct, non-neuroendocrine subtype of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) known as tuft cell-like SCLC (4). Consistent with its lineage-defining role in tuft cell development, POU2F3 was identified through a Crispr/Cas9 screen as a master regulator of tuft cell-like SCLC (5).
