HP1 alpha Antibodies

You can find the right HP1 alpha antibody for your scientific research with our 4 antibodies developed in Rabbit. These antibodies are validated for detecting HP1 alpha in Human, Monkey, Mouse and Rat samples using techniques like Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry), Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, Chromatin IP, Immunofluorescence (Frozen), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), CUT&RUN, CUT&Tag, Flow Cytometry (Fixed/Permeabilized) and Simple Western™. Our HP1 alpha antibodies have been cited in 128 publications and have 31 product images.

Target Information

Component of heterochromatin that recognizes and binds histone H3 tails methylated at 'Lys-9' (H3K9me), leading to epigenetic repression. In contrast, it is excluded from chromatin when 'Tyr-41' of histone H3 is phosphorylated (H3Y41ph). Can interact with lamin-B receptor (LBR). This interaction can contribute to the association of the heterochromatin with the inner nuclear membrane. Involved in the formation of functional kinetochore through interaction with MIS12 complex proteins. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
