DDX9 Antibodies
Target Information
a multifunctional ATP-dependent nucleic acid helicase that unwinds double-stranded DNA and RNA in a 3' to 5' direction. Plays important roles in many processes, such as DNA replication, transcriptional activation, post-transcriptional RNA regulation, mRNA translation and RNA-mediated gene silencing. Interacts with the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) in human cells and functions in RISC loading. In cooperation with NUP98, promotes pre-mRNA alternative splicing activities of a subset of genes. Generates multiple secondary structures that influence RNA-binding proteins. Has a dsRNA binding motif at the N-terminus, RGG-box at the carboxyl terminus, and a bidirectional nuclear transport domain of 110 amino acids at the carboxyl terminus. May play a role in X-linked gene expression. Belongs to the DEAD box helicase family. DEAH subfamily. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
