CD68 (D4B9C) XP® Rabbit mAb (PE Conjugate) recognizes endogenous levels of total CD68 protein.
Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant human CD68 protein.
This Cell Signaling Technology antibody is conjugated to phycoerythrin (PE) and tested in-house for direct flow cytometric analysis in human cells. This antibody is expected to exhibit the same species cross-reactivity as the unconjugated CD68 (D4B9C) XP® Rabbit mAb #76437.
CD68 (macrosialin) is a heavily glycosylated transmembrane protein that is expressed by and commonly used as a marker for monocytes and macrophages (1, 2). It is found on the plasma membrane, as well as endosomal and lysosomal membranes (1-3). It is proposed to bind OxLDL and has been observed as a homodimer (3, 4).
