    Product Information

    Product Description

This Cell Signaling Technology antibody is conjugated to the carbohydrate groups of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) via its amine groups. The HRP conjugated antibody is expected to exhibit the same species cross-reactivity as the unconjugated T7-Tag (D9E1X) XP® Rabbit mAb #13246.

    Product Usage Information

    Application Dilution
    Western Blotting 1:1000

    Storage

Supplied in 136 mM NaCl, 2.6 mM KCl, 12 mM sodium phosphate (pH 7.4) dibasic, 2 mg/ml BSA, and 50% glycerol. Store at –20°C. Do not aliquot the antibodies.

    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

T7-Tag (D9E1X) XP® Rabbit mAb (HRP Conjugate) recognizes transfected levels of recombinant protein containing the T7 epitope tag.

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic T7-tag peptide.

    Background

Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining techniques. Because of their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties.

The T7-tag is an epitope tag composed of an 11-residue peptide encoded from the leader sequence of the T7 bacteriophage gene 10. The T7-tag has been used extensively as a general epitope tag in many expression vectors including the pET system that is based on T7 RNA polymerase expression systems (1).
