    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

Transgelin 2 (E3R3I) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total transgelin 2 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro148 of human transgelin 2 protein.

    Background

Transgelin 2 (TAGLN2) is an actin binding protein with roles in migration and invasion of cancer cells. High expression of transgelin-2 indicates poor prognosis in diabetes-associated pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (1).
Transgelin 2 plays a role in Toll-like receptor (TLR)-stimulated phagocytosis by macrophages (2), and regulates T cell activation (3).
The transgelin 2 gene, TAGLN2, was identified as one of 11 genes included in a gene signature predictive of CDK4 phosphorylation, and of sensitivity to the CDK4/6 inhibitor palbociclib (4).
