    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

UQCRC2 (F8Y5N) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total UQCRC2 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human UQCRC2 protein.

    Background

Ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase complex core protein 2 (UQCRC2), also known as cytochrome b-c1 complex subunit 2, is a component of the ubiquinol-cytochrome c oxidoreductase complex (Complex III) in the mitochondrial electron transport chain (1,2). Studies show that AMPK increases UQCRC2 expression to promote mitophagy, protecting the liver against alcohol-induced injury (3). In addition, overexpression of UQCRC2 was shown to inhibit gastric cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and migration (4).
