    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

WFDC2 (E8S8Z) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total WFDC2 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant protein specific to full-length human WFDC2 protein. This antibody recognizes residues surrounding Pro88 of human WFDC2 protein.

    Background

WFDC2 (WAP four-disulfide core domain protein 2), also known as human epididymal secretory protein E4 (HE4), is a small secreted broad-range protease inhibitor. WFDC2 is a diagnostic marker in ovarian, endometrial and other cancers, and can be detected in patient serum (1,2). WFDC2 expression promotes tumor growth (3), contributes to metastasis and epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) (4), and regulates angiogenesis and immunogenic signaling in the tumor microenvironment (5).
