Can I use hydogen peroxide with methanol for quenching in my IHC experiment?
We routinely prepare 3% hydrogen peroxide in water. While we have not performed comparisons with H2O2 prepared in methanol vs. in water, methanol is known to be damaging to certain epitopes. Therefore, it may negatively impact the staining results.
