Why is a fluorescent conjugate of a rabbit antibody giving no signal on compensation beads in flow cytometry?
If you are using compensation beads in your flow cytometry experiment and observe no signal with one of our fluorescent conjugates of a rabbit antibody, this may be due to the reactivity of the compensation beads. Several commonly used compensation beads will bind mouse, rat, and hamster antibodies, but do not bind rabbit IgG. Please check the product information provided by the vendor to confirm the species reactivity of the compensation beads you are using. If the beads do list rabbit reactivity and you are observing weak or no signal above the background with one of our direct conjugates, please contact our technical support team.
