Why do the phosphorylation sites of the Phospho-Myosin Light Chain 2 antibodies differ from the amino acid residues listed in UniProt (P24844)?
Due to the removal of the start methionine in the Myosin Light Chain 2 protein sequence during processing, the Threonine (Thr) and Serine (Ser) are at amino acid positions 18 and 19 in the final protein.
