    Product Information

    Product Description

This Cell Signaling Technology antibody is conjugated to phycoerythrin (PE) fluorescent dye under optimal conditions and tested in-house for direct flow cytometric analysis in human cells. This antibody conjugate is expected to exhibit the same species cross-reactivity as the unconjugated SLFN11 (D8W1B) Rabbit mAb #34858.

    Product Usage Information

    Application Dilution
    Flow Cytometry (Fixed/Permeabilized) 1:50

    Storage

Supplied in PBS (pH 7.2), less than 0.1% sodium azide, and 2 mg/mL BSA. Store at 4°C. Do not aliquot the antibody. Protect from light. Do not freeze.

    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

SLFN11 (D8W1B) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugate) recognizes endogenous levels of total SLFN11 protein. Non-specific staining was observed in skeletal muscle.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant protein specific to human SLFN11 protein.

    Background

SLFN11 is a nuclear protein that belongs to the Schlafen (SLFN) family of genes involved in cell cycle regulation and growth inhibition (1,2). Expression of SLFN11 predicts sensitivity of cancer cell lines to DNA-damaging agents (1,3). Evidence suggests that in the presence of DNA-targeted therapies, SLFN11 is recruited to stressed replication forks where it blocks replication, leading to cell death (4). SLFN11 is being explored as a predictive biomarker for response to DNA-targeted therapies (5).
