CST, in close collaboration with Bio-Techne, has rigorously validated more than 900 CST antibodies for Simple Western systems, so you can focus on getting your assay up and running. To qualify as a Simple Western-validated antibody, each candidate must meet the following criteria to ensure it provides the specificity and sensitivity you need:

• Target specificity: The target peak(s) must demonstrate reproducible overlap at identical concentrations and remain clearly resolved from minimal non-specific peaks.
• Signal to Noise: The signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio must be ≥20, and the peak signal must not be saturated.
• Peak Height: The peak height must be between 1,000 and 300,000.
• Baseline: The baseline must be <20% of peak height and below a threshold of 10,000.
• Controls: No cross-reactivity should occur between the primary antibody and Simple Western internal standards, or between the sample and the secondary antibody, demonstrated by the absence of additional peaks.
