    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

EXOC7 (E4W6R) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total EXOC7 protein. This antibody is expected to detect all isoforms of EXOC7. By western blot, this antibody detects a band of approximately 140 kDa of unknown origin in MCF7 cells.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Arg72 of human EXOC7 protein.

    Background

EXOC7/Exo70 is a component of the exocyst complex, which regulates the docking of exocytic vesicles to the plasma membrane and the release of cargo, including neurotransmitters, hormones, and membrane proteins (1). EXOC7 plays a role in cell motility, migration, and invasion, and is an independent prognostic factor in colon cancer (2).
