    Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ala954 of human SART3 protein.

    Background

Squamous cell carcinoma antigen recognized by T cells 3 (SART3), also known as p110 or Tip110, is an RNA binding protein that binds to the U4/U6 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein complex during the recycling phase of the spliceosome cycle (1,2). SART3 mediates recruitment of USP4 to deubiquitinate PRPF3, leading to the disassembly of U4 and U6 components (3). Additionally, SART3 can target USP15 to regulate histone H2B deubiquitination (4). SART3 has also been shown to play a role in hematopoiesis regulation and pluripotency, where it controls mRNA splicing of OCT4 (5-7). During HIV-1 infection, SART3 binds to and activates the viral Tat protein, promoting viral replication (8,9). SART3 is highly expressed in many tumor tissues, and various peptides have been used to generate cytotoxic T lymphocytes for targeted immunotherapy (10-13).
