    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

TRAT1 (E3L8A) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total TRAT1 protein. This antibody detects TRAT1 monomers and homodimers.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human TRAT1 protein.

    Background

T cell receptor-associated transmembrane adaptor 1 (TRAT1) is a transmembrane adaptor protein, which is expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer on the surface of cells belonging to the T and NK lineage. Research studies have demonstrated that TRAT1 is associated with the T cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex. Furthermore, T cell activation promotes tyrosine phosphorylation of the TRAT1 cytoplasmic tail, which facilitates the recruitment of SH2 domain-containing signaling proteins known to regulate T cell function (1). TRAT1 may also modulate TCR signaling by stabilizing the surface expression of the TCR signaling complex (2).
