    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

KLF2 (E7K8Y) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor® 555 Conjugate) recognizes endogenous levels of total KLF2 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant protein specific to full-length human KLF2 protein.

    Background

Krüppel-like factors (KLFs) are a family of zinc finger-containing DNA-binding transcriptional regulators that share homology with the Drosophila melanogaster Krüppel protein that regulates body segmentation. Seventeen mammalian KLFs have been identified so far and they regulate diverse biological processes, including development, differentiation, proliferation, growth, survival, and external stress responses. Alterations in their functions have been linked to many human diseases, including metabolic diseases and cancer (1-3). KLF2 is a key regulator in the differentiation and function of immune cells and vascular endothelial cells. KLF2 suppresses NF-κB-mediated gene expression and plays important roles in inflammatory response (4-7).
