    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

PKN3 (F6S5C) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total PKN3 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Val882 of human PKN3 protein.

    Background

Protein Kinase N3 (PKN3) is a PKC-related protein kinase that acts downstream of Rho GTPases and PI3K, supporting tumor invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis (1-3). PKN3 is highly expressed in cancer cells, and silencing PKN3 expression is under investigation as a means of treating human cancers (4). Atu027, a therapeutic siRNA that silences PKN3 expression in the vascular endothelium, has been shown to prevent or delay metastasis in human pancreatic cancer (5).

    Alternate Names

    PKN3; PKNBETA; protein kinase N3; Protein kinase PKN-beta; Protein-kinase C-related kinase 3; RP11-545E17.1; Serine/threonine-protein kinase N3; UTDP4-1
