    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

LAD1 (E3Q8E) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total LAD1 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with recombinant protein specific to the carboxy terminus of human LAD1 protein.

    Background

LAD1/Ladinin-1 is a basement membrane anchoring protein associated with the basal surface of polarized cells, as well as with the actin cytoskeleton (1,2). LAD1 expression regulates migration and invasion of human cancer cells, and high expression of LAD1 is indicative of poor prognosis in several human cancers, including breast, colorectal, laryngeal, and prostate cancers (2-5).

    Alternate Names

LAD; Lad-1; LAD1; LADA; ladinin 1; Ladinin-1; linear IgA bullous dermatosis antigen; Linear IgA disease antigen; linear IgA disease antigen homolog; MGC10355
