    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

127D01-Tag (E8J2W) Llama VHH Monoclonal Antibody recognizes transfected or exogenously expressed levels of protein containing the 127D01 epitope tag. This antibody is 6XHis tagged and can be detected using conjugated His-tag antibodies.

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with peptide specific human CXCR2 protein that maps to the 10-residue peptide 127D01-tag (1).

    Background

Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining techniques. Because of their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties.

The 127D01-tag antibody was isolated from an immunized llama and selected as a single-domain VHH antibody that recognizes a 10 amino acid peptide epitope derived from the human CXCR2 chemokine receptor (1). This tag has been demonstrated for use in both in vitro and in vivo use in Drosophila melanogaster (2,3).
