    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

MPP6/MPHOSPH6 (F3T9S) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total MPP6/MPHOSPH6 protein. This antibody detects 52 and 54 kDa bands of unknown origin.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ala151 of human MPP6/MPHOSPH6 protein.

    Background

M-phase phosphoprotein 6 (MPP6 or MPHOSPH6) is a nuclear exosome protein that binds to pre-rRNAs to help facilitate the formation of mature 5.8S rRNA (1-3). MPP6, along with other exosome cofactors, can recruit the RNA helicase MTR4 to facilitate decay by unwinding RNA in order for it to enter the exosome core (4-6). MPP6 and YTHDC1 have been shown to play a role in IgH DNA recombination through an m6A-dependent mechanism (7).
