    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

PPID (E7Y8I) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total PPID protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human PPID protein.

    Background

Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D (PPID) is a ubiquitously expressed cytoplasmic enzyme that catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic bonds within HSP90 complexes to facilitate folding of protein clients, such as steroid hormone receptors (1,2). Research studies have also demonstrated that PPID plays a role in regulating the assembly and release of viruses, such as HCV and SARS-CoV-2 (3,4).
