    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

USP32 (E8N8G) Rabbit mAb recognizes endogenous levels of total USP32 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Leu217 of human USP32 protein.

    Background

Ubiquitin specific protease 32 (USP32) is a membrane-associated deubiquitinating enzyme that regulates cell proliferation and tumor metastasis (1). The USP32 gene maps to chromosomal 17q23, a region commonly amplified in breast cancer (1). Downregulation of USP32 inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in small cell lung cancer (2). In addition, expression of USP32 has been associated with tumorigenesis in gastric and ovarian cancers (3,4). One identified substrate for USP32 is the endosomal GTPase Rab7, a key regulator of endosomal trafficking. Loss of USP32 inhibits late endosome transport and recycling of late endosome cargos (5).
