    Human

    Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gln17 of human ZCCHC3 protein. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography.

    Background

ZCCHC3 belongs to the family of CCHC-type zinc-finger proteins (1). It binds to cGAS and acts as a cGAS co-sensor in recognizing double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), therefore, playing an essential role in innate immune response to DNA virus (2). ZCCHC3 was also shown to bind dsRNA and promote the binding of dsRNA by the retinoic acid-inducible gene-I (RIG-I)-like receptors (RLRs) RIG-I and MDA5, playing a critical role in RLR-mediated innate immune response to RNA virus (3).
