    Product Information

    Product Description

Affinity purified Goat Anti-Mouse IgG1 antibody is conjugated to alkaline phosphatase (AP). This product has been optimized for use as a secondary antibody in Western blotting applications.

    Product Usage Information

    Recommended Antibody Dilutions:

    1:2000 - 1:8000

Recommended antibody dilutions are provided in ranges because the optimal dilution is dependent on many factors, such as antigen density and permeability.

    Storage

Supplied in 50 mM Tris, 1 mM MgCl2, pH 8.0, and 50% glycerol containing < 0.1% sodium azide. Store at -20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody.

    Specificity / Sensitivity

Goat Anti-Mouse IgG1 Antibody (AP Conjugate) detects the heavy chain of mouse IgG1. This antibody has been cross-adsorbed against mouse IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG3, IgM, and IgA, human, bovine, and horse serum proteins. It may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.

    Species Reactivity:

    Mouse

    Source / Purification

Goat Anti-Mouse IgG1 Antibody (AP Conjugate) is produced by immunizing goats with mouse IgG1. The Anti-Mouse IgG1 antibody is purified from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads.

    Background

The alkaline phosphatase (AP) conjugated secondary antibodies are utilized in conjunction with specific chemiluminescent or other substrates for detection on Western blots. One of the advantages of AP conjugation is that the reaction rate remains linear for a long period of time.
