Can I store methanol-fixed cells in the InTraSeq protocol for longer than 7 days in step 8 of part A. Cell Fixation (Day 1)?

Our internal testing indicates that cells in methanol can be stored for 14 days (two weeks) while still generating high-quality InTraSeq single-cell RNA and protein results. For storage longer than 7 days, the cells should be kept at -80°C instead of -20°C.

In one internal experiment for which data is available, half of each sample was processed immediately after fixation, and the other half was processed after 7 days of storage. Both conditions yielded identical results. However, we have not performed a comprehensive, day‑by‑day study of RNA and protein integrity beyond 7 days, even though our data support good performance at day 14.
